Steve Pullen, MBE, head coach of Manchester Judo Clubs, spent Friday afternoon hosting our annual Christmas do at Ippon Judo Club, and there was a surprise waiting for him. A thank you speech from Joe Reeves led into reading a letter from EJU with regard to Steve’s promotion to 7th dan.
Steve has been teaching Judo since forever. His contributions to Judo are notably among the highest in British Judo. He trained many European and Commonwealth champions and medalists during his years of Judo and still going strong.
Everyone here at Ippon Judo Club, Urmston Judo Club and Manchester University Judo Club would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to Sensei Pullen for the much-deserved promotion and we look forward to training under his guidance in years to come.
